Dr. Ram Chandra Adhikari

Dr. Adhikari has over 36 years of experience in horticulture research and development (horticulture breeding, source seed production, package of practices, integrated pest management), planning and coordination of NARC research projects. He completed his M.Sc. Horticulture from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal and Ph.D. with the dissertation on “Effect of irrigation and potash levels on yield and keeping quality of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.)” from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, India. Dr. Adhikari had been working with many national and international R&D partners like ICARDA, AVRDC, CIMMYT, IRRI, ICRISAT, CIP and ICIMOD. He has published many peer reviewed journal articles. He has been instrumental in developing project proposals, monitoring and evaluation, business plans and impact studies of the agriculture related R&D projects. Besides, he has good knowledge and skills on crisis management.
